Etsy update & a little hello...

hello.jpg

With Jen having been really ill with Chicken pox of all things and Sian in lockdown in the North, things at The Village Pottery have been on pause.

But we wanted to stay in touch to say “Hi, how you doing?” and to let you know what we are planning to do next.

Since we aren’t able to get to the studio very often, if at all, we have decided to list all the pieces we have ready and can post from home on our etsy site. Please be aware we are only going to post things out twice a week to limit visits to the post office and so it may take a little longer than usual to get to you.

What we’ve made for you…

We made sure we got some of your favourites glazed and in the kiln before we were home bound. So you’ll find teapots and plenty of mugs as surely this is a time to find comfort in a cuppa and a biscuit… or 4! There’s also some saltpigs, butter dishes and mucky spoons trays for all that extra time we’re spending cooking up a storm.

What’s your new favourite dish? Any ready steady cook style creations we need to try? We’ve been making fresh pasta… Mine (Sian) being a novice is bit chewier than Sainsbury’s finest but so much more satisfying. On the other hand, Jen + family are a wiz at pasta… must be that Italian blood!

What if I would like something that isn’t listed?

We would love to be able to create all our range for you or even a special personalised piece. For the time being as we are limited with how often we can get to the studio any pieces that aren’t listed or you would like personalised can be bought through our website shop as a “pre-order” as we will do our best to get these made and to you as soon as we can when it is safe to do so. As a gesture we are happy to personalise any piece for no extra charge (they will just take a little longer). Just write what you would like engraved on the base (up to 15 characters or 40 for plates).

Pop over to see what else we’ve made for all your at-home quarantine needs.

As always we hope you’re all staying safe and well!

Sending our love,

Jen & Sian x
